The exact
date of construction of the temple is not known but it is assumed that
the temple was built sometime after 1850 A.D. but before 1879 A.D. as
there is a saying that the temple escaped damage in the severe
earthquake (Yuharaba Achouba) of 1879 A.D. |

The style of
the temple is very similar to that of the temple of Lord Krishna. The
architecture seems to be an imitation of the latter. The temple is
square shaped. The superstructure of the shrine rests on a high molded
plinth. The protected area is 162.16 sq.m. |
