1. Welfare of the Aged & Infirmed

    Under the scheme of Aged & Infirm the department is giving old age pension under the Manipur Old Age Pension Rules continuously. So far 4172 pensioners have been benefited under the scheme. A sum of Rs. 100/- p.m. per pensioners have been given to these pensioners up February. 2002.

2. National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)

 National Old Age Pension Scheme :

    Under which old age persons have been given a sum of Rs. 75/- p.m. As per record collected from DCs, 35,061 persons have been given pension during the year.

Welfare of The Disabled Persons

    Under this scheme the 2 (two) Special Schools have been successfully continuing its education programmes, namely.

        1. Government Ideal Blind School.

        2. Government Deaf & Mute School .
