MANIPUR UNIVERSITY OTHER FACILITIES

Banking And Postal Facilities:

   There is a branch of the State Bank of India on the campus. There is a Post  Office on the campus.

Health Centre:

   There is a Health Centre with one Doctor, one trained nurse and one pharmacist within the campus to look after the health of the residents of the campus, students and members of teaching and non-teaching staff of the University.

Audio-Visual Language & Phonetics Laboratory:

    There is an Audio-Visual Language and Phonetics Laboratory. It was introduced in 1984 from fund made available by the UGC during the 5th Plan period.
     The Language Laboratory is one of the components of the Laboratory complex. At present there are 15 booth with feedback facility. The Laboratory is used for M.A. courses in Language and Certificate courses in foreign languages.
     There is a recording studio for the recording of lectures delivered by  distinguished visiting scholars. There is also a library of records, films and record tapes.

Adults and Continuing Education and Extension:

   There is a Center for Adult and Continuing Education and Extension set up initially with financial assistance from the University Grants Commission.

Audio - Visual Research Centre:

     The University Grants Commission has also financed an Audio - Visual Research Centre (AVRC) in the University. The AVRC has produced a number of films for the countrywide classroom television programmes of University Grants Commission. The programmes produced by the AVRC of this University received national recognition and applause. Many of them received awards at National competitions.

IGNOU Study Centre:

    There is a study centre of the Indira Gandhi National Open University within the campus of the Manipur University.
